With a liquid bulk terminal planned at Jurong Port, it is important to assess whether the expected growth in general and bulk cargo can be adequately sustained in future. SimPlus was tasked to conduct the study for JPPL.
SimPlus’ berth simulator was configured to emulate JPPL’s berth operations setup. Required data analysis was conducted to determine the traffic and corresponding attributes of calling vessels. Future traffic scenarios were then simulated to determine whether target service levels could be achieved in future.
Based on the study, SimPlus put forth certain recommendations which will be used by JPPL when planning their future operations.
